Imagine having the power to go anywhere, do anything or get anything you need without doing anything at all, except ask? Well you can, with Hey Jude – your pocket-sized personal assistant…on steroids.
What exactly is Hey Jude?
Hey Jude is a subscription-based service that uses the power of technology and the finesse of human intellect to get your to-do list sorted. Using a familiar message-based interface to link you to one of their trained operators, known as ‘Judes’, you simply text or voice message your request – any request, from food delivery and travel bookings to restaurant reservations, grocery shopping, gift searching, and paying your bills – and they will do the rest. Research, vet the suppliers, negotiate the prices and even facilitate payment. If your day’s to-do list is comparing supplier quotations, calling in a plumber or booking a trip to Beijing – the Judes will do it all for you.
How does it work?
Download the app at heyjudeapp.com, and get the Judes working for you with three free tasks. Then, once you have fallen in love with the app, a subscription of R199/month will get the Judes working for you, 24/7 and 365 days a year, with as many tasks as you need.
Simply outsource your to-do list. You want to find out where the best bistro is? They will let you know. Then make the reservation and give you directions. Simple. Oh, you’ve just remembered the mother-in-law’s birthday, so you need a bouquet of flowers delivered. The geyser bursts and you need to find a plumber, but want a few quotes before giving the go-ahead. They will sort it. Your favourite rock group is hitting the town. They’ll pay for the tickets and get them to you. The list goes on and on.
Hey Jude also keeps payments smart and simple, through one secure, encrypted commerce platform. All you need to do is load your card, supply transaction instructions and the Judes will settle your expenses, for a nominal fee of 5% on each transaction – this covers the merchant/interchange fees with the banks:
pay the courier service, your chemist account, utility bills and for your hotel in New York or Nelspruit. It is commerce at a touch, or press and pay.
What is all the fuss about?
The thing that sets this app apart is that the Judes are real people – not machines – that use the power of technology, their own local knowledge, and a bit of flare to get your tasks done – it’s the perfect mash up of emotional aptitude and artificial intelligence. “I was underwhelmed by the promise of bots like Siri and Amazon’s Alexa and the actual user experience,” says Innovation architect and Hey Jude developer, Marcus Smith, “there might be a time when machines will be able do all these things, but until then we are filling in the blanks with a blended AI-human solution.”
Hey Jude also seamlessly integrates all that is cool in mobile and online technology: Uber, Airbnb, Open Table and many others. You have booked your dinner reservations through Hey Jude. They will then send you a map with directions, calculate the cost and distance of an Uber trip and with your permission order the ride.
Hey Jude, launched worldwide on 1 March 2017.
Hey Jude. Just say the word and it’s sorted.
